Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)
Remote - Full
At Callin.io, we're building the voice AI infrastructure that powers the next generation of human-machine conversations. Our platform handles millions of conversation minutes, enabling businesses to deploy intelligent voice agents that feel genuinely natural. We're a small, senior team moving fast on hard problems — and we're looking for engineers who thrive in that environment.
As a Frontend Engineer at Callin.io, you'll own the entire frontend experience — from the dashboards our customers use every day to the public-facing surfaces that represent who we are. This means writing production-grade React and Next.js code, but it also means caring about the details: the animation that feels just right, the layout that makes complex data instantly readable, the interaction that doesn't make users think twice.
You won't be handed Figma files and told to implement them pixel by pixel. You'll have real input into how things look, feel, and work. If you have a strong aesthetic sensibility alongside solid engineering skills, and you find it hard to ship something you're not proud of, this role was written for you.
Build and maintain customer-facing dashboards that surface real-time voice AI data in a clear, actionable way
Develop public-facing applications and interfaces that reflect callin.io's quality bar and brand
Own the frontend architecture — component design, state management, performance optimization, and deployment pipelines
Collaborate closely with backend engineers to design and consume APIs, and with the broader team to shape the product experience
Ensure all interfaces are accessible, performant, and resilient across devices and browsers
Contribute to and help establish a shared design system and component library that scales with the product
4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with production systems you've owned end to end
Strong hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider — AWS, GCP, or Azure — and a solid grasp of networking, IAM, and managed services
Deep experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments at non-trivial scale
Proficiency with infrastructure as code — Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent — you don't click around in consoles to make things happen
A reliability-first mindset: you think about failure modes before they happen, and you build systems that degrade gracefully
Clear communication and comfort working autonomously in an async, fully remote environment
Experience building real-time data visualizations — dashboards that update live without feeling chaotic
Background in voice UI design — understanding the unique challenges of designing interfaces that work alongside audio interactions
Familiarity with WebSockets or other real-time communication protocols from a frontend perspective
Prior work in developer tools, analytics platforms, or other data-dense product categories
The frontend is a first-class citizen. At callin.io, what users see and experience matters as much as what runs underneath. You'll have the space and the trust to get it right.
Full ownership. From architecture to pixel, the frontend is yours to shape. No design bottlenecks, no implementation-only briefs — just real product ownership.
Async-first, fully remote. Work from wherever you do your best thinking. We care about outcomes, not office hours.
Interesting domain, interesting UI challenges. Real-time voice data, conversation analytics, and AI-driven interfaces push frontend
engineering well beyond standard CRUD dashboards. The problems here are genuinely fun to solve.
Competitive compensation. Salary benchmarked to senior frontend engineering roles at top-tier tech companies, regardless of your location.
