Engineering - We're Hiring - New
Finance & Operations Manager
Torino, Italy - Full-time
At Callin.io, we're building the voice AI infrastructure that powers the next generation of human-machine conversations. Our platform handles millions of conversation minutes, enabling businesses to deploy intelligent voice agents that feel genuinely natural. We're a small, senior team moving fast on hard problems - and we're looking for engineers who thrive in that environment.
As Finance & Operations Manager at Callin.io, you'll be the person who keeps the business running with the same reliability we promise our customers. You'll own financial operations end to end - budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and vendor management - while also supporting the broader operational and strategic work that comes with scaling an early-stage company fast.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable building a financial model and negotiating a vendor contract, who can move fluidly between the detail and the big picture, and who finds genuine satisfaction in bringing order and clarity to a fast-moving environment. You'll work closely with leadership and have real visibility into how the business is performing and where it's going — not as a passenger, but as a key contributor to the decisions being made.
Own the day-to-day financial operations of callin.io - accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, monthly close, and financial reporting
Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across the business
Prepare clear, accurate financial reports for leadership and, where relevant, investors — translating numbers into insight and narrative
Manage vendor relationships and commercial agreements, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring operational continuity
Support strategic planning processes by providing financial analysis, scenario modeling, and operational input
Identify inefficiencies in business operations and build the processes, tools, and frameworks needed to fix them
Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and customer success to support headcount planning, procurement, and operational scaling
4+ years of experience in finance, operations, or a combined role — ideally with meaningful exposure to both the numbers and the business processes behind them
Strong analytical skills and financial modeling proficiency — you're comfortable building models from scratch, stress-testing assumptions, and presenting findings clearly
Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, where priorities shift quickly and the ability to operate without established playbooks is essential
A structured, detail-oriented approach to financial management — you close the books cleanly, flag discrepancies early, and don't let things fall through the cracks
Clear communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to translate financial complexity into language that non-finance stakeholders can act on
High degree of ownership and initiative — you identify what needs doing without being asked, and you follow through
Experience managing international business operations — multi-currency accounting, cross-border vendor relationships, or entity management across jurisdictions
Fluent Italian, spoken and written — a meaningful advantage given our presence in Torino and our European customer base
Background supporting fundraising processes — data room preparation, investor reporting, or due diligence support
Familiarity with SaaS business metrics — ARR, churn, CAC, LTV — and how they inform financial planning in a subscription business
Visibility into the whole business. In a team our size, Finance & Operations sits close to everything — product, sales, hiring, strategy. You'll understand how the business works at a level that's hard to find in a larger company.
Work that scales with the company. The processes you build now will be the foundation for how callin.io operates as we grow. There's a real opportunity to shape the operational culture and infrastructure of the business from an early stage.
Torino or fully remote. If you're based in or want to be based in Torino, we have a presence there and would love to have you in person. If you're elsewhere, remote works just as well.
Competitive compensation. Salary benchmarked to senior finance and operations roles, adjusted for location and experience.
